With more than 10 years of experience in the industry, including 8 years specializing in book cover design, working globally through 99designs platform since 2018.
I’ve designed covers for more than 150+ authors and publishers worldwide. Not just covers but also collateral designs like A+ content, promotional poster ads, and many more.

Up to now, I have been active as a freelancer on 99designs, where I have honed my skills in creating a diverse range of genres of book cover designs. Many of the books I have designed are now available on Amazon and other e-commerce sites. I also work as a local Freelance Graphic Designer catering local and nationwide range of clients from posters and social media banners to stunning magazine layouts and professional product labels, and infographics. Thus, I have had the privilege of working on various projects.

Graphic Design is my passion, from a hobby when I was in high-school until I make it a living. So whenever I am doing this, it never feels like I am working, I an enjoying it. • Here’s how my DESIGN PROCESS typically works:

1. Giving My Client a Questionnaire and Briefing: I begin by sending a Word docs with a series of specific questions to gather all essential details and information about the book like the title, subtitle, target audience, preferred style (abstract, illustration, or photo-based), size dimensions, etc. I also ask clients to share their favorite book covers as inspiration, along with examples from competitors in the same genre.

2. Research & Review: Once I have collected all the details and information, I conduct my own research on the book’s topic and review existing covers on Amazon within the same genre. Through this, it helps me understand the trends and avoid creating anything too similar to existing designs.

3. Brainstorming Ideas & Creating Concept: After I gathered all the information from research, I begin brainstorming ideas and sketching rough concepts, this includes sitting with my computer and a notebook to visually draft designs that would resonate with the content. This process typically takes 3 days but less than a week, during which I develop and create 3 to 5 unique initial cover concepts.

4. Presentation of Initial Designs & Revisions: I present the client with the initial design options and give them enough time to select a direction they’d like to work on. From there, I offer unlimited revisions on the chosen design to fine-tune and ensuring it perfectly fits their vision.

5. Finalization & Delivery:
Once all revisions and adjustments are approved, I proceed with finalizing the book cover. At this stage, I collect the complete book specifications, including total page count, trim size, and format requirements (Kindle, paperback, or hardcover). I then prepare the final, print-ready files following platform guidelines (such as Amazon KDP).

After completion, I deliver all necessary assets to the client, including high-resolution files, source files, font files or installers, and professional book mockups for marketing use.

When I'm doing a project like this, my goal isn't just to create and design a cover, but making sure my client is completely satisfied and their book is hits the perfect market.
