I'm currently employed at Mandaluyong City Medical Center.Mandaluyong City Medical Center is the only local government hospital in Mandaluyong city, which means our institution does a lot of public service. Originally, I applied for staff nurse but the hospital director found that I was also a masscommunications graduate an since I am currently working at Mandaluyong City Medical Center. Originally, I applied for the position of staff nurse but there wasn't any vacant slots for staff nurses at that time, he hired me as one of his assistants. I do administrative tasks there such as planning his calendar and making sure his schedule is met, attending to some of his meetings if his schedule doesn't permit him, do research works, entertain patients as well as assists him in some of the medical procedures he does. Now that I've been working in that institution for almost three years, my functions pilled up. My schedule permits me to function as a nurse and his staff at the same time. And as I mentioned earlier, the institution does a lot of public service, my contribution to that is when I do not function as a nurse, I help facilitate medical missions almost every Saturdays, if the Mayors' schedule permits him. I delegate tasks to other employees and volunteers, make sure that supplies for the missions are completed before the day itself. Through my experience I found that i found that my multiple-tasking skills improved big time. My people skill got better because I face numerous types of people everyday. I find pleasure in my job, though it doesn't pay well. That's why im looking for something that will help me earn extra.
