In line with the contract manufacturing, I also manage the costing process as part of the Sales Team. Aside from doing the costing, comprised of the materials, labor, allowances, GP, I also set the time and action calendar as part of the quotation to the customers. Once the order is approved, this same costing is used and passed on for materials planning & production with the aim of having all costs within budget. If and when quality issues arise, the said cost will have to be negotiated as claim to the party that caused the quality problem.
