I was some time ago when I had much desire for knowledge. That was the time my neurons started to work. Until such time that I am been an avid reader. I have read lots of fiction and non-fiction books, magazines, journals, newspaper and of course contents from the web. I also have subscriptions to journals and magazine due to this interest in reading and writing. So I could probably talk of anything under the sun. I also do blogging a lot and usually stay with the internet much of the time feeding my mind of what’s new everyday. I’m also good in using Microsoft word, power point and the like. I usually use it for my reports and presentations in school. During my secondary years, I've been a part of the school paper and took up journalism and expository writing as one of my extracurricular activity. I started as a consistent contributor of poems and some articles that usually fit my taste until such time that I thought of applying for a position in the school paper. So I had several examinations and interviews before I get the position of being a feature writer in an instant. That motivated me to pursue more it. I have joined various contests in our locality competing with different schools and organizations. I guess I was always lucky to bag the first place and in return earn medals and recognitions. After proving my distinctive ability as a feature writer I have been promoted as the editor-in-chief of the school publication with recommendations from our adviser and some avid readers. As an editor-in-chief I was strongly inspired to the goal of having a distinction locally and nationally. We joined major contests with our released issues. My vision came true, our publication garnered five major awards locally and seven major awards during the Luzon-wide contest. This was my stepping stone which I pursued by logic and reason. So after I graduated I had this much interest to continue what I’ve started as a writer. In college, I again entered a bigger genre of writing. Due to m experiences and some merits, I was appointed as a news editor of the college publication in our school. I was so delighted that the publication was loud and so powerful than the one I used to be with. In short, the publication was really the vocal chords of the students per se against some obnoxious doings of the school administration. I was exposed on the legal aspects of journalism at that time and being a neophyte, I always had the eagerness to write and sometimes compete to prove what I have to say and relay to the public what I think is right and what is really going on. With this uniformity, our publication adviser recommended to our school president to put me in a higher position. And so I did. I was then the appointed editor-in-chief of this publication. It almost changed everything in school just with the help of a pen and a paper. That’s how I worked with the school paper. At this point in time, I would like to have a job most likely similar to the skills I have.
