Medical Virtual Assistant

Patient care is one of my strongest skills. As a Registered Nurse with experience in both hospital and school settings, I have developed strong communication, empathy, and patient support skills. I understand the importance of attending to patients’ needs, providing accurate information, and ensuring quality care.

I worked as an ER Nurse for 2 years and as a Nursing Assistant for 2 years. My most recent role was as a School Nurse. Through these experiences, I gained strong medical knowledge, communication skills, multitasking abilities, and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments, which I believe are important skills for a Medical Virtual Assistant role.

I have experience with medical scribing from my work in the hospital. In the ER, I documented patients’ chief complaints and important medical information accurately so I could relay them to the attending physician. I also updated patient records using the hospital’s electronic medical record system. This experience helped me develop strong attention to detail, medical documentation, and communication skills that I can apply in a Medical Virtual Assistant role.

I gained experience with medical billing while working in the ER department of the hospital. Part of my responsibility was preparing and processing patients’ bills for their stay in the ER, including physician professional fees, medications, and other medical services provided. Most of the patients were self-pay, while other staff members handled insurance-related billing and coverage. Through this experience, I developed attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and familiarity with hospital billing processes.
