I am an IT trainer at University of the Philippines Los Baños under the Information Technology Center (ITC). As an IT trainer, one of my responsibilities is to prepare training materials including writing user guides, manuals and tutorials. I have written a basic user guide for Ubuntu (a Linux-based operating system), OpenOffice.org Writer (a free alternative for MS Word), OpenOffice.org Calc (a free alternative for MS Excel), and applications developed by our office. I also prepare powerpoint presentations as visual aids for our trainings.
I design IT training programmes and modules including training on IT Essentials (basic level, e.g. Ubuntu, OOo Writer and OOo Calc) and Web Content Management using Joomla. Currently, I am designing a training programme for advanced level IT essentials (e.g. mail merge, creating forms, pivot tables, etc.).
