Profile Description

Key Functions:
• Studies the specifications of the printer driver currently being tested.
• Follows and maintains test plans to meet code integrity objectives.
• Reviews the test plan that is in use for the driver and helps determine the appropriateness of specific tests.
• Develops in conjunction with team lead, new test cases to address new functions in each product as well as new test scenarios within the testing environment to stress the printer, driver and firmware.
• Performs defect isolation on problems found and ensures reproducibility of problem.
• Documents problems found in a concise, professional, and timely manner through the Problem Tracking System.
• Simulates problem found and documents it in the Problem Tracking Report (PTR) thereby ensuring that the recipient of the said PTR can reproduce the problem.
• Verifies fixes to answered problem logs before starting any regression activities. Must then check and verify that problem has been resolved.
• Ensures that paper, cartridges, test cases and related documentation are at hand for efficient testing.
• Accomplishes the status tab of the test chart to ensure that testing progress is current and well documented.
• Informs his superior of any job related concerns or problems.
• Carries out any other work related activity that may be assigned to him by his team lead/coordinator or system test manager.
