After completing the take-offs, I gather updated material, labor, and equipment prices from suppliers and contractors. I compare quotations and evaluate quality and availability to select the most cost-effective options. I then prepare a clear and organized cost breakdown that includes direct costs, indirect costs, and contingencies. Before finalizing, I review the estimate for errors and coordinate with engineers and supervisors to clarify technical details and address design changes. During project implementation, I use my estimates for budget monitoring and cost control to help ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
