I have a total of 5 years in Banking experience, 3 years in Customer Service, and roughly 5 years of consultancy / fintech experience. My work experience is a combination of Customer service, Technical Support / Chat Support, Website Support, Email Support, Consultancy Services, and Client Onboarding. In my previous roles, I’ve handled 60 – 100 calls on a daily basis. When I was part Credit Card Disputes, one of my responsibilities was to handle both inbound and outbound calls from customers while assisting them with resolving their credit card transactions. We reach out to both customers and merchant to further resolve the dispute. Eventually, I was promoted to reperesentments (2nd phase of credit card disputes) where I would further resolve credit card disputes on behalf of the customer that were challenged by the merchant. This requires further gathering of proof from the customer to ensure the dispute is within the customer’s favor. Afterwards, I moved on to Credit Card Customer Service where I performed broader customer service which includes updating their information, processing their payments, offering upgrades or additional features on their credit cards, offering new credit cards, and so forth. Next, I have worked for a local company that provides end-to-end onboarding as a service for international clients. The onboarding as a service includes KYC, KYB, AML, and transaction monitoring while adhering to the laws and regulation of that country. I have also worked with a start-up local company that has onboarded mostly Asian companies. In fact, I was responsible for creating the onboarding framework of that company with adherence to the regulators in the Philippines (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas). Lastly, I have worked with Visa in terms of providing consultancy services while offering banks and non-banks or fintech companies Visa licenses to operate under Visa’s payment architecture. Working with international companies for roughly 8 years has allowed me to development my communication skills fluently which allows me to understand client’s direct needs, indirect needs, identify opportunities for clients all of which would vastly help in my own self development and the development of my team. Additionally, I am able to understand different ways of communicating, dependent on the nationality of the client. To be completely honest, I can speak the English language more fluently than Filipino (my native tongue).
