As a child, I've always dreamed of becoming a Bank Employee. In the country's biggest & largest
bank. Which no BDO. It was exactly 7 years ago when a started working at Banco De Oro. We were just number 10 then. It felt really great realizing your dreams having been from an underprivileged family. But know what, I actually resigned from the Company back in 2007 and shifted career to Telecommunication. I guess it was a very clever idea to
then, Smart I guess... Smart Communications Inc. was the company.
Let's get to serious business. May Baking experience & telecoms experience are actually related as it was involved with Card Product & Cash Management Operations. Products like Cashcards, Disbursement Solutions, Payroll , Bills Payment and the likes. Smart Money offers actually the e-wallet business which is a tie-up with Banco De Oro. It was really a challenging job being the manager of Product Reconciliation Team and having 12 subordinates.; 2 of them being supervisors directly reporting to me. But you know what my secret it that I was able to pull it out? A minute of laughter and bonding with your staff is all it takes. But when I serious, I really mean serious business and no fooling around.
