Civil Design Engineer

I have over 5 years of hands-on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for a variety of civil engineering projects. I’ve designed and drafted roads, parking areas, drainage systems, dams, and irrigation channels, and I’m highly proficient in surface modeling, alignments, profiles, grading, and pipe networks. I regularly create existing site condition plans, perform cut and fill computations, and generate detailed construction drawings for both urban and rural site developments. My workflow includes building accurate surfaces from survey data, laying out roads and drainage systems using corridors and pipe tools, and generating full plan and profile sheets with proper annotation and labels. I also handle quantity takeoffs and ensure that my designs comply with local and international standards. My use of Civil 3D significantly improves both the speed and quality of deliverables.

I have intermediate proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks, primarily using it for model coordination, clash detection, and project review. I work with design files from Civil 3D and other platforms to create integrated models that help visualize and validate design accuracy. I can efficiently navigate models, review design intent, and perform basic clash detection to identify conflicts between civil, structural, and MEP components. I also use Navisworks for construction sequencing (4D simulation), walkthroughs, and creating visual presentations for internal reviews or client coordination. While I don’t yet use advanced features like scripting or full BIM coordination workflows, I’m comfortable using Navisworks as a tool for model checking, collaboration, and construction planning support.
