Profile Description

I have been copyediting research articles for more than 5 years now and I am currently a Training and Quality Officer of the Copyediting Department of the Publishing Company that I am currently working for. With my years of experience in the copyediting field, I can now immediately spot and correct grammatical and spelling errors in sentences and find it easy to reword or rephrase sentences to attain clarity and coherence. I can also properly observe house styles applicable to specific journals or books. As a Copyediting Quality officer, I can validate errors flagged by clients, provide explanations of the errors, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of the same error in the future. I have also learned to communicate with clients and counterparts with courtesy and diplomacy to nurture and maintain good business relationship.
I am knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and ALTOVA software which is used in editing articles in xml environment.
Aside from being good in written and spoken English, I am also good in Math. I am a licensed Civil Engineer in our country and I am also willing to accept jobs in line with this field.
