Based on my academic experience, I would rate my foundational skill in Costing in Construction and Engineering as proficient. Throughout my Civil Engineering projects, I gained practical experience in creating numerous cost estimations for multi-story residential buildings and public structures like barangay halls. This involved developing detailed Microsoft Excel-based costing models that effectively generated comprehensive Bills of Materials, Precedence Tables, and Bills of Quantities. I possess a solid understanding of the fundamental principles and methodologies involved in breaking down project components and quantifying their associated costs.

An essential skill acquired through my Civil Engineering coursework. My projects routinely required advanced computation, data analysis, and interpreting numerical results for structural and project feasibility.

Simultaneously, I am extremely familiar with Word and Google Docs, having used them extensively for all technical reports, academic submissions, and thesis preparation. Furthermore, I efficiently utilize Google Drive for secure cloud storage management and version control, and Google Forms to create detailed surveys, quizzes, and examinations for projects.

Gained experience during my OJT inspecting technical documents for compliance and consistency. This included rechecking structural details and verifying the conditions of existing concrete structures in the field.

Based on my academic experience, I would rate my foundational skill in Quantity Surveying in Construction and Engineering as competent. During my Civil Engineering projects, I gained practical experience in creating detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for a multi-faceted project, specifically a 3-floor barangay hall complex. This exercise involved a comprehensive computation of required materials, labor, and necessary permits, alongside an analysis of labor efficiency. The creation of three distinct versions, each incorporating varying costs for key components based on different supplier quotations suggested by my Professor, provided a practical understanding of the open bid process inherent in quantity surveying. This experience demonstrated my ability to accurately quantify project elements and understand the impact of procurement on overall project costs.
