I started my professional career as a customer support / technical support in People Support and our client is a web hosting company (Earthlink) from the US for one year and a half. I have talked to different clients with concerns about their billing, website problems, email problems, web servers problems etc. I find it challenging in helping them solve their problems especially if it’s related to their sites. I also got used in working in night shift because of the time difference in the US.
After one year and a half, I decided to pursue my career as a software developer. I want to gain more knowledge and I felt like I am not growing in the job that I am doing. I was able to work in a software development firm (Global Idealogy Corporation). I was a programmer in that company. As a programmer I was able to do the things that I am passionate with. I was able to create web application mostly intranet using C#, ASP.NET, Coldfusion, Javascript as the programming language, MYSQL and SQL as the database.During my one year and ten months stay in GIC, I was able to work with different teams and different projects expanding my knowledge in the software development.
Then after almost two years in GIC, I got a more interesting opportunity. I worked at Optimum Source Incorporation as a consultant / programmer.
OSI is a BPO, but I was assigned in a department that is creates websites that are internal. Here in OSI I was able to create a start from scratch project, I was involved in the system design and building the system. We used ASP.NET, C# as the main programming language, then we also used MYSQL as the database and also used Javascript, Jquery and Enterprise Library. I stayed at OSI for 8 months.
Then last June I decided to join Accenture as a software developer. I think they can give more opportunities and growth in my chosen career. As a software developer I was able to create new module and also design the enhancements for the ticketing tool that we our client are using. We are using ASP classic, VBscript, Javascript as our programming language and Oracle as our database
