At PwC, I worked as an external auditor handling clients in the banking and financial sector. I performed walkthroughs, control testing, and substantive procedures on difference accounts including complex accounts such as Expected Credit Loss (ECL), leases, and pension liabilities. I prepared audit working papers, coordinated with clients to resolve issues, and ensured compliance with auditing standards and timely audit delivery.

In my daily work, I use Xero to record accounting entries such as invoices, bills, and journals, ensuring correct GST treatment is applied based on the nature of the transaction. I reconcile transactions from the bank feed by matching them with the appropriate entries in Xero, checking for accuracy and GST coding. I generate financial reports such as balance sheets and profit & loss statements, and compare them with the NAV working file to ensure alignment. Any discrepancies are investigated and corrected promptly to maintain accurate records across both systems and ensure compliance with GST reporting requirements.
