Quantity Surveyor / Estimator / Detailer / Designer

Proficiency in using software for timber design, detailing, and analysis (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, specialized timber design programs). Knowledge of producing accurate and complete construction drawings, including timber connections and joinery details and accurately determining loads acting on timber structures, including dead loads, live loads, and etc.

Experience in estimating various project types (e.g., residential, commercial, government) and using different estimation methods (e.g., unit pricing, quantity takeoff). Meticulous approach to ensure accuracy in cost calculations and prevent errors in project estimates.

Familiar with MS Office, Collaboration & Communication software. Easy to learn new software.

Competency in using estimating software like Bluebeam, AutoCad, On-Screen Takeoff, or Pryda Build. Ability to accurately interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project scope and requirement. Strong analytical and mathematical abilities, including proficiency in algebra, geometry, and unit conversions.

Proficiency in analyzing project requirements, materials, labor, and equipment costs to develop accurate and competitive bids. Ability to identify and resolve cost-related issues and adapt to changes in project requirements.

Proficient in Bluebeam takeoff, markup, and project management tools.
