Hi! I'm Emelyn Hemar, a BSIT graduate majoring in Programming from Northeastern Cebu Colleges. I'm looking for a long-term remote position where I can contribute, grow, and be part of a team that values reliability, honesty, and consistency.
I recently graduated and received an Award for Proficiency in System Application Programming. For my capstone project, I served as the lead developer of the Affiliate Online System — a fully functional web-based platform built using Laravel, PHP, MySQL, Bootstrap, and PayPal Sandbox integration. It handles affiliate commission tracking, automated email notifications, and payout processing. The system was built and tested in a local environment and successfully defended in front of a panel.
Before graduating, I completed an internship at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), where I handled applicant records, verified data accuracy against valid IDs, and followed strict confidentiality and data privacy protocols. That experience taught me how important accuracy, responsibility, and process compliance are — especially when handling sensitive personal information.
I also have work experience outside of IT — as Receiving and Dispatch staff in a supermarket, where I managed delivery documents and inventory records, and as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing company, where I monitored production output and quality records. These roles strengthened my attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to follow structured processes consistently.
I am comfortable working with tools including Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, Shopify, Trello, Asana, Slack, and AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT and Claude. I have basic experience with Shopify store setup and e-commerce operations.
I am honest about my strengths and what I am still learning. My written English is stronger than my spoken English, and I communicate best through chat and writing. I am actively improving and I always ask when I am unsure rather than pretending to know things I don't.
I am a fast learner who grows best through real work and practical experience. I am looking for a long-term remote role — full-time or part-time — where I can contribute meaningfully and develop my skills over time.
