I presently work as Creative Director / SEO Team Coordinator with a sales and marketing company. I consider among my strengths the ability to be creative and be marketing-oriented and yet comprehend technical matters to some extent when necessary. This enables me to perform my job better because I can easily communicate with both the creative team and the technical staff the essential business concepts and make those concepts materialize as intended. However, I believe to be most important of my strengths is my willingness to learn from those more knowledgeable and experienced than myself. I am always looking to learn.
My primary role is Creative Director which I immensely enjoy, mostly due to the fact that I work with a superb team of creative professionals – designers, developers and writers. Together, we endeavor and succeed in bringing the company’s marketing message to a global audience.
Back at the start of 2015, I volunteered to take on the additional role of Marketing Coordinator for our SEO (Search Engine Optimization) campaign. Even though I had minimal experience in actual SEO activities, having been in charge of the company website since its inception, I felt it was a natural progression as I had a clear understanding of the direction the online marketing campaign should take to deliver better results than it has in previous years. I decided to restructure the SEO Team, and we set about redefining our objectives. And my team of SEO specialists did not disappoint.
Among the things I oversee are the following:
• Company Website
• Product/Service Brochures
• Videos
• Newsletters
• Proposal Templates
• Slide Presentations
• Email Templates
• Lead Nurturing
• Web Copy Writing and Editing
My role as Creative Director includes:
• Communicating product vision from executive management to the design and technical teams;
• Assisting the Product Manager in developing marketing content for the purpose of branding;
• Proofreading and production of marketing materials;
• Overseeing the design and continuous development of the company’s proposal templates;
• Occasionally assisting sales people in the completion of specific business proposals and requests for information;
• Managing the Content Team made up of 5 employees including a graphic designer, website developer, content manager and two content writers; and
• Regular reporting to the Marketing Director and CEO
My role as SEO Team Coordinator includes:
• Developing an overall SEO strategy;
• Managing 2 SEO teams – North America Team and APAC team;
• Setting targets and KPIs; and
• Metrics tracking and regular reporting to the Marketing Director and CEO
