My job skills would be best described by my umpiring and Care taking experience. As an umpire I am required to be alert, a distinct attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to deal with a quickly escalating situation between parents/coaches in a fair and orderly manner. As a field manager and public official I also helped in tending to the field, running the cash register, and attending meetings to discuss what could improve our standing as a park.
As a caretaker I helped take care of an elderly couple till they passed on about two years ago. We bathed, cooked, cleaned house, and provided basic maintenance for them. I also took care of their 9 acres as their groundskeeper for a year and a half. This job required patience and understanding above all.
My first jobs were fast food and a grocery store. Pizza hut swamped me, every day was undermanned till about 4 pm then so many people would show up the cooks couldn't all make pizza at the same time. I can handle stress because of that alone.
I later went to a Grocery store for about a year as a bagging boy and the head stocking assistant, I am pretty sure that was just their fancy way of saying I was the only stock assistant. I found time management, janitorial experience, and now understand how to properly organize storage.
