Hi, my name is Ramzelyn, but you can call me Ramz. I’m from Davao City, Philippines, and I have a degree in Business Administration. I have over five years of combined experience in administrative work, accounting, and medical billing.
For almost three years, I worked as an Accounting Staff, where I handled financial records, payroll processing, and supported day-to-day operations. Later on, I transitioned to working remotely as a Medical Billing Virtual Assistant for US healthcare providers (Home Care - Skilled Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech Therapy, Gastroenterology, Anesthesiology and Pathology.) In this role, I specialized in claim denials management, AR follow-ups, and communicating directly with insurance companies to resolve billing issues efficiently, I also have experience with eligibility and benefits verifications as well as prior authorization and occassionally managed payment posting proving knowledge in reading ERA/EOBs.
To broaden my knowledge, I recently took an Australian Bookkeeping course focusing on Xero and completed an internship where I applied my learning in real-world scenarios. This experience has strengthened my skills in bookkeeping and made me more confident in using Xero for financial management tasks.
I’m also very comfortable working with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Suite, various EHR/EMR software, and collaboration platforms like Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Asana.I would describe myself as detail-oriented, proactive, and someone who enjoys solving problems and contributing to smooth workflows. I’m excited to bring my skills and positive attitude to a new role and help support your team’s success.
