Mechanical Engineer/2D & 3D CAD Designer/Project Estimate

I've been using Auto Cad 2D since 2016 in a manufacturing plant producing good quality of reinforcing steel bars. I use it mainly to produce mechanical parts for the machine shop and fabrication department Later on I use this drafting skills in a construction and fabrication company as a structural detailer and estimate engineer for various steel and concrete projects such as pressure vessels, warehouses, steel statues, towers, etc. Currently using Autodesk Map 3D together with Arc GIS in creating base maps for natural gas distribution projects mainly in Massachusetts, USA.

I have been using Solidworks for 6 years since it was part of our course in college. Most of the projects I have using Solidworks are product designs using parts and assemblies feature of the software.

I have 3+ years experience as a structural detailer and estimation for a construction and fabrication company using Auto Cad as a primary software for steel detailing and also for producing bill of materials. Projects handled mostly composed of pressure vessels, warehouses, towers and the like. I also have 2+ years of experience as a frame detailer (floor joist) for an Australian company where I use Frame Cad and Hyne Timber Beam Design to produce fabrication drawings for residential projects in Australia.

I've been using Auto Cad 3D together with 2D for more than 7+ years when I was first employed in a steel manufacturing plant here in the Philippines. I produced mechanical drawings for the rolling mill plant. I also used the software when I worked as a structural detailer and estimate engineer in a construction and fabrication company mostly for structural or steel projects. I can also produced bill of materials out the detailed drawings.

I mostly used Microsoft Excel in the engineering field when doing project estimates. Recently I attended training to enhance my skills in MS Excel in studying Data Science and Analytics and ETL processes

I've been using Autodesk since 2018 when I attended a Training course for Revit MEP. Exposure in Revit Architecture for single to double storey residential building and modelling structural components using Revit Structure. Recently attended a Refresher coirse on Revit Structure to further enhance my skill in operating the software.

In 3D modelling, I am most proficient in using Auto Cad 3D to produce 3D drawings and models for various projects. For product design. I used Solid works espaecially for parts and assembly models. I also have experiences in BIM softwares like Autodesk Revit (Architecture, Structure, and MEP) for various construction projects.

I seldom use Photo shop in projects. I only use this software when required, so I can say that I can only do basic photoshop manipulation or editing.
