As a customer service representative on Hotel Engine, my primary responsibility was to assist customers with their hotel bookings. This involved confirming hotel reservations, addressing any concerns or issues that customers may have had, and providing excellent customer service throughout the process. One of my key tasks was to communicate with the front desk of hotels to ensure a smooth check-in process for our customers. This involved coordinating with the hotel staff to ensure that the customer's reservation was accurately reflected in their system and that any special requests or preferences were noted. Additionally, I was responsible for resolving any booking discrepancies or issues that arose during the customer's stay. This could include resolving billing errors, assisting with room changes or upgrades, or addressing any other concerns that the customer may have had. In my role, it was important to have strong problem-solving and communication skills. I needed to effectively communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions. I also had to work closely with the hotel staff to ensure that any issues were resolved promptly and to the customer's satisfaction. Overall, my experience as a customer service representative on Hotel Engine provided me with a deep understanding of hotel bookings, customer service, and problem resolution. I developed strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask, and a keen attention to detail, all of which are essential in providing exceptional customer service in the hospitality industry.

As a civil engineering student, I have gained extensive experience using AutoCAD, a widely-used software in the industry for drafting and design purposes. AutoCAD has been instrumental in helping me develop my drafting skills and produce legible drawings that can be used for construction purposes. It has allowed me to create complex, dynamic 3D road models and generate highly accurate and detailed drawings. In addition to AutoCAD, I have also used other software such as Civil 3D and LDD (Land Desktop Development) for specific projects. These programs have provided me with additional functionality and tools that are tailored to the civil engineering discipline. For example, Civil 3D has allowed me to create alignments, profiles, assemblies, and corridors, which are essential for road and infrastructure design. LDD has been particularly useful for residential subdivision projects, as it provides specific tools and capabilities for this type of project. Moreover, my experience with these software programs has helped me develop critical thinking skills and understand the importance of critically evaluating the output. I have learned not to blindly assume that computer-generated results are always correct and have been trained to think critically about my work. This has been emphasized through tasks such as creating labels that display station/offset and elevation from a surface, modifying elevations using expressions, and managing projects and data shortcuts. Overall, my experience with AutoCAD and other civil engineering software has provided me with a strong foundation in drafting, design, and project management. I am confident in my ability to utilize these tools effectively in a professional setting and contribute to the success of civil engineering projects.
