Jezreyll James Cabasag is a former college instructor at the Department of Communication of Davao del Norte State College. He earned his Baccalaureate Degree in Communication and Media Studies, Cum Laude, at the University of the Philippines Visayas in 2022, and is currently finishing his Master’s Degree in Communication.
His industry experience includes working as a media content writer at Omri Hurwitz Media (2024) and currently working as a part-time video and graphics editor, and brand assistant at CoWorq (2026). He also completed internships at Southern Lantern Studios in Pasig City and the Film Development Council of the Philippines in Manila, both in 2021. In the same year, he was selected as a participant of the 14th Network of Asian Fantastic Film School (NAFF) held at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in South Korea.
Most recently, he ranked 9th in the Screenwriting Short Film Category of the Department of Trade and Industry's Young Creatives Challenge Season 2 (2025) for his screenplay 'The Candy He Left'. His film credits include Pagbalik sa Lawod (2025) as writer, producer, and editor; Layag (2024) as producer, editor, and sound designer; Agsulib (2024) as creative producer; Ang Pamilya Maguol (2023) and A Crab From A Conch Shell (2023) as production manager.
He is the founder and former adviser of DNSC’s SineComm Society and also served as the former Vice-President for Internal Affairs at Tindog Tagum Inc. (NGO).
