Profile Description

I have almost 13 years experience working in transcription and research industry (legal, medical, general). I also worked from home over 10 years now as a VA/medical-legal transcriptionist/editor/clinical researcher. I am computer literate with good research, communication, listening, proofreading, writing, editing and typing skills (60-70 wpm). I am detail oriented, self-motivated, hardworking, and flexible. I can meet deadlines with good quality of the report. I am also eager to learn more things and willing to be trained.

In terms of medical transcription, I have worked on different types of medical report from different medical specialties such Orthopedics, Pain Management, Physical Therapy, Gastroenterology, OB-GYNE, Cardiology, etc. With regard to legal transcription, I worked on Workers' Compensation Claims. I have experience transcribing letters, deposition summaries, status reports, conference summaries, initial file review and analysis, etc.

I also know how to work with Express Scribe and other speech recognition software. I am good with Microsoft Word and Excel. I am also good in clinical researching. I'm familiar with different biomedical and life sciences databases and online libraries for literature, research articles, etc. I'm excellent in researching, organizing, sum ---------- ing, and documenting topics and researches.
