I used to work as a customer service representative for a financial institution at Sutherland Global Services from December 2010 to September 2013. As a customer service representative for almost three years, I have learned a lot of techniques in handling customers and it helped me improve my communication skills. After two years of taking calls as a tier one agent, I was promoted as a tier 2 representative or at the escalations department. As a tier 2 agent, I was also tasked to take supervisory calls. This experience helped me improve my customer service skills along with my communication skills.
After almost three years of being a customer service representative, I applied as a chat/email support for fashion account at a different center.
I was tasked to answer inbound emails and compose emails and letters to be sent to clients. As a chat support, I was able to assist clients in a timely manner via live chat. These experiences sure helped me improve a lot on my typing and written communication skills.
