My experience as professional congress and events organizer has honed my skills in business correspondence with both the private and the government sector.
Liaising with corporate CEOs and top government officials has greatly instilled in me a high degree of professionalism and a good sense of work ethic.
Overseeing the role of an event secretariat has sharpened my planning skills with a keen eye for detail.
Important value I've learned is timeliness.
Punctuality is respect for other peoples time.
My Masters Degree in Business Administration has developed in me a tremendous sense of discipline in many aspects: Time management - being able to accomplish tasks with a limited time; Resourcefulness - being able to find ways and means to comply with a requirement despite limited resources; Work-life balance - being able to still have a life outside of academic work.
My experience in photography and travel photojournalism has exposed me to the grandeur of the world, from the remote islands of Tawi-Tawi, Philippines, to the majestic gorges of the Grand Canyon. There really is a lot to explore.
Exploring, learning, and sharing the world is one of my passions. This has also given me the opportunity to write short articles and features in local dailies.
My experience as an athlete, as a former varsity swimmer, has retained my passion for sports and health.
I have ventured into mountain climbing, spelunking, river rafting, and airsoft gaming (military simulation sports).
My experience as a stock trader and a foreign currency trader has reinforced my discipline in research and keeping up to speed with the world economy.
Some skills that I find useful in all the areas I work on:
MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Mac OSX, Adobe Photoshop CS4, Creative Writing, Letters of Correspondence, great sense of humor!
I have also hosted over a dozen weddings with my own script.
I have composed scenarios for military simulation games and have facilitated team-building events with my creative and challenging obstacles, both physically and mentally.
Have done a few SEOs (Search Engine Optimization) for a cousin who owns the firm.
I have worked for a global company with expats for my bosses.
Working with them has never been a problem.
They're pretty much straightforward.
Trustworthiness is usually a big factor for them.
As long as I'm being honest and have integrity in what I do, we totally have a more than satisfactory working relationship and even exceeding expectations.
