My primary role as credit analyst/lending support officer for residential mortgage loans is assisting and supporting our broker and clients with their financing needs from loan pre-qualification up to loan settlement
My responsibilities include maintaining and tracking the loan pipeline, reviewing and preparing necessary loan documentation, managing the workflow and updating all client records in the aggregator tool. Once we have a mortgage lead I create a contact in Mercury and the relevant loan opportunity using the data from the Fact Find and lead capture form provided by our broker.
After that, I complete several client analysis forms, questionnaires and calculators for our broker to review as part of the loan qualification process. Once a new loan is appointed I prepare all necessary documentation needed for submission and subsequently start the online application. I also do the basic research and complete basic loan calculations such as such completing the funding position, borrowing capacity and product comparison. Once completed, I review the loan packet to ensure that all required application documents are signed, dated and ready for submission.
I am also the one in charge of loan tracking and follow-up after loans are submitted to different lenders.
Aside from these, I also organize information requests such as property valuation reports, pricing requests, loan variations, credit reports and security releases.
Once a loan is formally approved I communicate with our broker and provide him with a copy of the loan offer documents and perform other tasks as needed to facilitate the settlement of the loan.
