When I graduated from college with a degree in Advertising, I immediately started exploring the design and advertising field.
I have worked as a designer for a flower shop for two years.
My job then required me to come up with design concepts for floral arrangements, designs for party and events set-up, the visual merchandising aspect of the business and the graphic designs for their collateral materials.
I am currently a Picture Book designer for Xlibris Publishing and I have been with them for 3 years now.
I work with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat and I am adept with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
Also, I am an amateur photographer and I use Adobe Lightroom occasionally to enhance my photos.
Aside from my designs skills, I also dabble in creative writing.
Being a wide reader, I have developed a penchant for writing ever since I was still in elementary school.
I would often write in my Multiply, Facebook and Wordpress blogs about anything that catches my fancy.
I believe that writing is an effective way to express ones self.
With the onset of online access to almost anything, anywhere across the globe, getting a message across to people is now faster and making a difference in the lives of others is just at our fingertips.
I am a fast-learner.
I am analytical and I can work unsupervised.
I believe that in the 5 years that I have been working, more than my technical skills, I survived the pressure of deadlines and other work-related issues because of my positive attitude towards work and my ability to manage my tasks and fulfill what is expected of me has often set me apart from my peers.
If given the chance to work for your company or business, not only will I be able to help you but you will also be helping me to improve and further hone my skills as an artist or a writer and most importantly, as a skilled person because I believe that there will always be room for improvement and that one does not stop learning.
