I have been working in the call center industry for some time now and I am looking for a position where I can utilize the wide range of skills I have acquired from my past job responsibilities.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT/SALES SPECIALIST:
I have worked as an account specialist for AT&T's and Bell Canada's TV(satellite and internet TV), internet and VoIP services. Being an account specialist, it was my responsibility to provide BOTH customer and technical support.
As a customer support, it was my responsibility to manage a customer's account. This includes pre-sales inquiries, setting-up an account for a new customer, handling billing and processing payments, modifying subscription package and features, handling pay-per-view/video-on-demand orders, setting up e-mail among other things.
In addition, I was a part of Hewlett-Packard's combined payment and technical resolution team providing IT support over the phone to their customers in the U.S. and Canada that are using HP's single function and multi-function printer, scanner and fax machines.
My non-technical responsibilities with HP were to handle calls regarding sales and payment. This includes extending or re-activating equipment warranty, processing out of warranty support options for a one-time payment or a 1-year agreement fee, and up-selling and cross-selling other products and accessories.
TECHINICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST:
Like mentioned earlier, I provided both customer and technical support for AT&T and Bell Canada, and worked as a part HP's technical resolution team.
For AT&T and Bell Canada, it was my responsibility to help customers troubleshoot their product and equipments. This include issues such as snowy/fuzzy picture, no satellite/internet signal, audio/video problems, slow/intermittent internet connection, port forwarding, no dial tone on the VoIP handset among other things.
For HP, my primary responsibility was to troubleshoot a customer's machine. This includes hardware issues such as paper jam, out of paper, ink and print quality issues among other things. I also provided technical support for software issues such as printer compatibility errors for Windows XP, 7, 8 and 8.1, connection errors and third-party application conflicts.
