I passed the Board Examination for Certified Public Accountants in October 2013. Since then, I actively searched for a job in which I could practice my profession. In December 2013, I started working as an auditor at Navarro Amper & Co., a member of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd. As junior auditor of the firm, I was expected to perform the following tasks: 1.) Understand the business of the client 2.) Be familiar with the audit methodology 3.) Perform analytical review of audit documents 4.) Review the accounting and operating procedures of the client (includes test of internal controls), and recommend improvements if applicable 5.) Identify accounting and auditing issues 6.) Ensure that all numbers are accurate, regulations are complied with, and all transactions are properly recorded in the books 7.) Work in hand with the audit senior in completing the audit report 8.) Attend client meetings, etc.
“I can find little blocks of time to focus so we can scale this business.”
