My first job straight out of college was as a blogger/creative writer for a website that covers the latest news in the gaming industry and consumer technology. This job allowed me to develop my online research skills because I had to write news articles and content on subjects that I did not have sufficient knowledge on.
I've also worked as a research assistant and transcriptionist for a human rights non-government organization, as a web content writer and editor for a company that provides writing and research services for various websites, and as managing editor for a lifestyle media company. I've been doing freelance writing work since 2007, producing different types of content (product reviews, articles, news, and blog posts, etc.) for web content and marketing companies, as well as private clients and individuals across US, Australia, UK, Singapore, and the Philippines.
I don't write for peanuts. As they say, "If you think it's expensive to hire a professional, wait until you hire an amateur." So to save us both time, let me come right out and say that I won't be interested in writing for you if you're paying $1-2/100 words.
Oh, and I'm a fan of the Oxford comma.
