I started working immediately after I graduated from college on 2001.
I started as data encoder in a government agency and my job included encoding the census conducted by the National Statistics Office. I worked there for 8 months on a shifting schedule.
A few months later, I was employed at the water utility of Davao City and worked as the Human Resource Department Secretary.
The company is the service provider of water of all households and business establishments of the whole city.
As the HR Secretary, I did clerical jobs which included transcription of the minutes of meetings, composing business correspondence, evaluating profiles of new applicants and employees for promotion. This is where I was trained to use Microsoft applications such as MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
I reported directly to the Human Resource Department Manager and assisted him in the preparation of all the documents he needed in line with his functions. I was trained and entrusted to handle confidential files of the company.
After a 3 years, I was promoted to Administrative Assistant of the same department and I handled jobs which included the management of the employees' attendance records, leave of absence privileges and medical benefits. During my stint as an Administrative Assistant, I was able to create a more comprehensive system which the company approved and implemented. I revised some of the policies in line with the welfare and benefits of employees which were previously vague and were not implemented correctly. I did researches and benchmarking so that the benefits of our employees are at par with other well-known private companies. The company sent me to trainings and seminars that also played a great role in my performance as an employee.
After having done these accomplishments, the company recognized my performance and was again promoted to Industrial Relations Management Officer.
On my 10th year in the company, I found a new opportunity outside employment and decided to voluntarily resign on August of 2013.
I joined an international network marketing company. A company based in Canada, operates for 25 years already and is the top company in the network marketing industry in the Philippines today. During the first few months I was able to build quite a number of people in my network. And, since the industry was new to me, I invested most of my time learning the system of the company and how it works. I learned how to manage people and motivate them to work. I also learned how to become a motivational speaker and I learned the art of mentorship. On January 2014, a year after I joined the company, I as awarded and recognized as one of the elite leaders of the company in the Philippines.
