• Assists in research and development of the Executive Department’s new media instruments;
• Assists in implementing of new media strategies for the Office of the President;
• Assists the coordinator to the facilitators of the websites of other government agencies;
• Assists in the development of the official websites of the Office of the President;
• Implements the security and monitors the uptime of the official websites under the control of the PCDSPO;
• Enforces the use of semantic markup for accessibility and to optimize search engine positioning;
• Performs additional related duties as deemed necessary and appropriate.
• Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults;
• Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
• Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system;
• Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs;
• Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate);
• Prioritising and managing many open cases at one time;
• Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, e.g., software developers;
• Provide database design and management services, as dictated by employer need. They make database design recommendations.
• Collect data using a variety of methods, such as data mining and hardcopy or electronic documentation study, to improve or expand databases.
• Enter the information into data systems using manual key-entry or scanning technology and delete any duplicated, outdated or irrelevant information.
• Make recommendations about the methods a company should use to collect, analyze and manage data to improve data quality and the efficiency of data systems.
