I have been working in Customer Service field for 11 yrs now. For me, this field has 2 kinds. One is the personal interaction and second is the now called as the most demand job in the Philippines which is ofcourse the call center industry in which an agent has to meet and exceed the customers expectation by phone. I've been into both kinds which made me grow into a more confident and realistic individual as I am now. Personal interactions demonstrates emotions and great expressions which will somehow result to an excellent or poor customer service. But for someone who communicates thru a telephone, this emotions and expressions though not seen, are visible. Hearing a persons voice on the other end, an individual can easily interpret what that person is feeling even if one needs to fake it. So, this 2 kinds of customer service works together. For you to be an effective customer service representative, you should be one and the other.
