Profile Description

- functions as a technical IT manager and field engineer, catering IT services and support for different clients in Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Ortigas and Makati
- manages technical team in project planning, technical support.
- logs technical support requests on ticketing system, monitor progress and updating ticketing database as necessary
- responsible for allocating technical support pool for clients that need on-site assistance, and assign responsible engineers for the requested support.
- responsible for the evaluation of technical support engineers, while guiding them to their target achievement and enhancing morale.
- offer deployment/troubleshooting/maintenance services and providing end-user support for branded and unbranded PC's, servers like IBM X Systems, Dell PowerEdge Systems, HP Proliant Systems (hardware, software).
- knowledgeable in Windows 2003, Windows 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 and Hyper-Visor Virtualization
- basic knowledge in IBM Lotus Domino server deployment/setup (Domino 8.1.5)
- capable of deploying Ubuntu Linux Server/Centos/FreeBSD software:
o Zimbra Collaboration Suite mail configuration
o BIND DNS configuration/Windows DNS configuration
o Postfix Mail
o Samba File Server configuration
o Web Server based on Apache
o Basic ACL’s/rules on Squid as HTTP Proxy
Knowledgeable on open source firewalls:
o Untangle Firewall (open source)
o pfSense firewall (open source)
o freeBSD’s Packet Filter (enable firewall module by custom kernel compilation)
o Netfilter (IPTables)
Knowledgeable on open source virtualization software:
o Proxmox VE
o Virtualbox by Oracle
o VMware ESXi and VMware vCenter
- Setup/planning of office network, software deployment (Microsoft Office Suite, Antivirus Software eg. ESET, Trend Worry Free Business Security, Symantec Endpoint)
- Knowledgeable on Cisco IOS and Huawei OS on enterprise switches and routers, do simulations and proof of concepts with available working Cisco/Huawei hardware and simulators (Packet Tracer and Huawei’s eNSP, Cisco 1841, 2801 and 2960 Switches)
- Knowledgeable in VMware Workstation Virtualization (create machines and connecting in a physical network)
- Some background in deployment and handling of different firewall appliances (Astaro Gateway, Juniper Netscreen, Dell Sonicwall)
- Maintains different mail servers on different clients and mail servers hosted inside the office. (running on Ubuntu Linux Server/CentOS, Postfix as main MTA, BIND9 as DNS daemon, courier-POP3 and courier-IMAP for mail synchronization, amavis/spamassassin/clamav for anti-spam and antivirus on inbound/outbound email)
- Deploys and maintains servers running on Windows Server OS (Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 R2) that serves as Domain Controllers, File Servers, WSUS Server and DNS role
