Profile Description

For a year, I worked as a Customer Service Representative, Billing Specialist for Telstra, one of the biggest telecommunication companies in Australia. Through this, I experienced working with customers of various behaviors and moods, along with the diversity of their complaints, ranging from minor to major ones. Additionally, I also worked as an e-mail support for a US company where I checked, updated, and canceled orders, as well as sent replacements for damaged/defective products. Furthermore, I am currently working as a part-time writer and email support for another start-up company where I'm creating user guides and answering customer queries about our mobile application. I'm also providing troubleshooting steps to resolve application problems through email and creating reports to inform our application developers of the existing bugs the application has. Additionally, I also handle some administrative tasks, such as blog uploading, client list sorting, as well as social media content creation and posting to name a few.
Being a freelancer for almost 3 years now, reliability is among the traits I was able to strengthen. Despite the absence of a strict schedule, it was not easy being a freelancer because, most of the time, there is uncertainty in when the clients will need me; hence, I am always ready to attend to my clients’ requests whenever the need arises. It also forced me to be available the whole week, even on weekends. If I would need to be away from my laptop and internet connection, I surely keep my clients informed, too. Aside from that, there were also times when I needed to work with 3 different clients and I can say I managed it well. Moreover, as a freelance writer, supervision is always minimal in my line of work. In most cases, being a writer only includes receiving requests and following directions, so I learned how to work independently. Apart from reliability and the ability to work with minimal supervision, freelancing also taught me to easily adjust to changes and learn things quickly and/or on my own. Of course, I don’t mean I get everything in just a snap, but I am confident I have a knack for learning and adapting.
