My name is Kathy, 32 years old with 2 kids. My daughter is 10 while my son is turning 2 on October. I am from Philippines but now staying in Malaysia because my husband is Malaysian. My previous job was Operations Manager, its actually a small business of my own, it run last January 2010 until January 2014. It was a drug distribution, in Philippines we have this so called generic medicines which are slightly cheaper than branded medicines and that is what i'm selling in the market. We cater to hospitals, clinics and pharmacies. I also have my own pharmacy at the same time, until i decided to close it down because business is not doing good and in addition to that i am always in Malaysia where i cannot really watch closely on my business. I am staying in Malaysia because i am married here and my husband is working here as well but i decided to put up the business in Philippines because competition is far better there than here in Malaysia. I am handling the business online with my staffs, i manage the stocks that goes in and out, the orders of the clients that comes in and delivered out, my collections has to be reported to me online too, i will call my bank after 3 days where in my record shows that cheque has been deposited and check if the cheques are cleared. Whenever i fly back to Philippines, i will make it a point to pay a visit to my clients. Until i one day i find it hard to continue because competition is very high and trusting people is very risky, at that point when all the trust they have build with you just faded away. Before that, i worked as a secretary here in Malaysia for 1 year, 2009-2010, it is a trading company, my job is to talk to our local clients about their orders, then i will request for quotations to our suppliers around the globe, sometimes i communicate with them by phone and sometimes we exchange emails. Part of my job are normal office tasks, filing, fax messages, phone calls, bills and letter handling and of course banking. Before that i worked a product promoter in the mall, January to June 2005, way back in Philippines. My job is to endorse my product to the customers and give samples. Before that was also similar with the last one and it is under the same company, that was July to December 2005, also in the mall and this is more on sales talking. Before that, June to December 2003, i worked as a quality controller in an export garments company, my job was to keep records of the finished product which are in good quality. Then, February to December 2002, i started as a food server to this restobar in Philippines, and in the same period of time, i was promoted to billing clerk and then as a receptionist. As a billing clerk, my job is to handle the receipts of ordered food and drinks and before we close up, i have to make sure that all my records are tallied. As a receptionist, i am in the entrance responsible for the tickets of people going in, i have my own cash register because i am the cashier of my own job in the reception area. Then back in July to December 1999, i worked as a roving merchandiser, where in i was assigned in one of the province in Philippines where i was staying and my job was to check the specific outlets that my products are been sold. I will be the one purchasing and placing my orders if my stocks are running out, i also have the power to request to my employer if i think that we can make a promotion in out products (say buy 2 + 1 kind of thing or buy 1 take 1). Then my very first job was February to July 1999 as a merchandiser in a local grocery mall near my place, this is where i was working when i was promoted to be a roving merchandiser. Being a merchandiser, my job was to arrange all my products in the shelves, do my inventories regularly, purchase orders and maintain the cleanliness in my products display. This are my contractual experiences, because i have non contractual job experience like cooking and serving in the canteen where in its my parents business and i work as a sales girl in my aunts dry goods as well. But right now, i am looking for a part time home based job at the moment or any job that i can stay in the house maybe by using internet, because i heard a lot but i don't know where to find them. I tried a few but in the end you have to pay for training materials etc. I am a full time mom now but i do have a lot of extra time to work and i need that to earn money at the same time. I want to do part time first as a start because i don't have experience yet in this home based job as of the moment.
