• Can do consultancy for a laboratory job.
• Reports directly to the Technical Director.
• Evaluates and analyzes test results conducted by each laboratory and gives comments for further improvement.
• Ensures that laboratory test results are accurate in accordance with the prescribed test standards/specifications.
• Aware of new testing standards/specifications and technology.
• Develops new test procedures and techniques when necessary.
• Audits / checks each laboratory to ensure systematic workflow by regular and proper timing of laboratory tests in order of priority and maintaining orderliness and cleanliness in the laboratory.
• Answers laboratory personnel inquiries on test procedures, charges and other technical aspects of the tests.
• Conducts / provides appropriate training to laboratory staff and department heads.
• Ensures that test equipment and instruments are properly operated, calibrated and maintained in good conditions.
• Ensures that QC/QA checks are properly implemented in every laboratory analysis.
• Ensures that proficiency testing are performed, results are discussed with the concerned analysts and corrective actions are implemented, where necessary.
• Conducts routine thorough checking of worksheets and draft reports to ensure accuracy of data.
• Discusses results and problems encountered in testing with the department heads for appropriate action to be made.
• Sets procedures and guidelines for the smooth flow of work that includes maintaining a good filling system of worksheets, test reports and application forms, device worksheets for testing requirements.
• Performs tests to verify test results of staff / analysts, where necessary.
