Right after I passed the Philippine Nursing Licensure Exam last December of 2010, I decided to take a different path which is to try venturing in a call center industry. I got hired at Sykes Asia which is a BPO Company. I was under a Financial Account specifically under the Insurance Account. I am taking inbound calls from Providers. These providers are Professionals like Dentist or Dentist's Assistant. As an agent, I have to memorize and familiarize a lot of codes and procedures to provide quality service to our clients. These professionals are calling on behalf of their patients to verify whether this certain procedure is covered by the insurance or not. My role as an agent is to provide an accurate information to our providers. A Yes answer might be a NO answer, which means if that procedure is not covered and you mentioned YES to your caller, then meaning to say once the billing comes, that procedure will be charged on the insurance. You really have to be very vigilant and insure that in every words you have spoken is correct.
After Sykes, I got hired at Clicking Labs Inc. This time, I am more inclined in Social Media. I worked as a customer service representative handling 5 different websites. I am taking calls, chats and at the same time answering emails from our clients. You really have to do multi-tasking to ensure that at the end of the day everything is being covered.
