Profile Description

I have worked as a Systems Engineer in Toshiba Information Equipment Phils. Inc. a company that manufactures enterprise and mobile hard disk drive (HDD). My main role is lead a group that supports the back end of the manufacturing line. I get instructions from Japanese IT professionals to implement a newly developed program or application in our current system. After getting the information i do program testing and debugging before applying any changes. I also monitor and maintain servers and database. Part of my database tasks is gathering, checking and modifying data from Sybase and Oracle database. When needed I also create Shell scripts and VB applications as tools for managing data on Windows and UNIX based servers. I am trained in creating documents and reports of system changes, problems, etc. I help in the training and development of new engineers of the team. I also do other tasks such as installing Operating System and basic applications to manufacturing PCs, troubleshooting and changing computer parts if necessary, basic network troubleshooting. I am experienced in dealing with people and organizing meetings. My experience as a Technical Support Representative helped me develop my communication skills and proper telephone etiquette.
