Good Day!
Thank you for this opportunity of letting me introduce myself to you. I'm Cherish Leproso, a Commerce graduate in one of the prestigious schools here in Cebu, Philippines - the University of Cebu Main Campus- major in Management Accounting. I was once an academic scholar for the first two semesters and shifted to working scholar for the remaining semesters until I graduate. I was assigned in the Dean's Office of Customs Administration Department so basically my work in there as student assistant trained me on how to deal with work as a Secretary, or like an Administrative Assistant, working directly with the Dean. Being able to assists students with their concerns and queries about academic matters as well as personal problems with the department was great. Doing this things helped me developed my interpersonal skills as well as providing a good customer service .
A month after I graduate, I looked for a job that will fit my chosen course. So, I was blessed to be hired by one of the leading retail company, a chain of department stores and supermarket here in the Philippines Being a part of this company made me realize my dream on working as an accounting clerk. The first six months, under probation, I was assigned in POST AUDIT SECTION, as to we are the one to audit whether the forwarded supporting documents to the suppliers and the amount paid are equal and report any mistakes to the concern. This, again helps me develop customer service, both to internal and external customers, and my checking skills, being keen to details and be attentive on about everything. Six months have passed, as I got my regularization, I was transferred to ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SECTION. This made another leap to a new kind of job which needs more concentration. Balancing the Sales Invoices versus the actual items received before paying the suppliers, reconcile any errors to correct the amount to be paid. It continued for 2 years, until I'm transferred to BIR/SALES SECTION which is to keep records in daily sales and report the Monthly sales to Bureau of Internal Revenue and prepare to top management. This again enhanced my skill on practicing my career as well as assisting the boss.
Until now, I'm still connected to this company. I am venturing to look for another job,in another field of industry
because this means another challenge, another learning to behold, another set of new friends, another training, another experience of a lifetime.
