I started my first ever job in an Australian company basing here in Philippines, Present Group Philippines Inc. as a Technical Writing Staff. I applied for this job a week after I passed the Philippine Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination.
The scope of Technical Writing Staff include standardizing company documents according to set format with MS Word 2013 as the medium, generating new templates for tabulated and editable forms as well as ITR's/test sheets with of course given enough information and using MS Word and MS Excel 2013; redrafting flow charts and electrical diagrams using MS Visio 2013; creating company presentations via MS Powerpoint; and quality checking created company documents and converting .pdf files to word and vice versa.
As have been stated above, the software used for the accomplishment of tasks are MS Office 2013 such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio; and Nitro Pro 9.
In the midst of my 9 months in Present Group, the Technical Writing Department were given a project which was to generate training materials for 3 modules: Gas Assets and Operations, Health, Safety and Environment and Permit Issuing Officer. Those training materials were accomplished through deep research and standardized format.
Right now, I am currently employed in Keppel Singmarine Philippines Inc. (KSPI) as Production Design Engineer I. The scope of my job in KSPI include modelling of equipment, Pipe System Spooling and Arrangement drawings and Pipe Modelling using the softwares AutoCAD 2014 and SM3D V.14.
With sheer determination to learn more and broaden my knowledge, I am taking proactive steps. If a chance of becoming your employee will be granted, I will most certainly work hard and will make sure tasks are accomplished on time.
