The area of specialization of my job as a PM includes project and service management. However, since I started as a System Support, I am also familiar with System Analysis and Business Process.
The latter are already inherited in my job as a PM since I know how the system works.
The companies I was connected to is a software company which sells banking systems and an American bank.
My accountability as a PM generally includes preparing all the needed resources to kick off and implement a project.
Specifically, I develop a project plan with detailed tasks to be completed, duration, inclusive dates, required stakeholders, and other needed data.
To begin the project is to initiate a meeting to introduce involved stakeholders of the project such as software team, infra, communication, and others.
The needed tasks are to be delegated to the team leaders so that it will be escalated within the team. I then maintain the project calendar thru project meetings and status reports, and also track changes, dependencies, milestones, and if ever the deliverable items are transmitted to the clients.
Otherwise, know the cause of delays and escalate accordingly in order to resolve impediments.
The conflicts within the groups or in some cases, conflicts among other groups that are related and affecting the project, are inevitable.
Part of my job is to direct, oversee, and manage issues or conflicts among them.
This is important to harmonize the working relationships to achieve goals as a team.
To ensure members' adherence to deadlines and travel arrangements and coordination with clients are also part of my responsibility.
Finally, I prepare needed documents or presentations including project sign offs.
I always use Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and MS Project in my day-to-day execution of my responsibilities as a PM.
Thus, developed expertise on these MS applications.
I am a team player for I have to direct the team to successfully reach the completion of the project.
Thereby, handles different types of persona from implementors to programmers to managements and clients.
