I have over 15 years of administrative assistant experience. Starting as a secretary, I worked my way up to Administrative Assistant, Project Coordinator, Administrative Executive, and Virtual Assistant for companies in the education, telecommunications, project management, real estate, company acquisitions, and photography industries. Possess good working knowledge of diverse integrated apps and platforms.
In the Middle East, where I grew up and worked in a multicultural environment, the English language was used in everyday conversations and writing. I have worked for 6 months as an assistant English teacher in a Saudi institute, 5 months as an online ESL tutor for Chinese students, over 6 years as an ESL tutor to Arab and Chinese students, and 7 months as a Financial Content Writer.
To gain hands-on experience and skills, I launched my own online businesses in crafts (2017) and food delicacies (2019) on Instagram and Facebook. I accomplished my objectives by completing online courses and video training, and trial tests on paid ads. The Pandemic has turned out to be a blessing in disguise. During the lockdown, revenue doubled, 1000+ organic followers in 1.5 months were added on Instagram and 500+ on Facebook, 40% increase in customer retention, brand awareness grew by 60%, and an influx in social media traffic.
Because of my artistic talent, I am self-taught in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and other graphic software. For three years, I worked as a Graphic and Layout Artist for the High School Monthly Newsletter and designed posters, brochures, and invitations for all school activities and events. I served as a part-time Assistant Editor of Wedding Photos and Videos for five months, and currently making regular posts for my own business pages on Instagram and Facebook using Canva, Photoshop, and other apps.
I am a graduate of Management Accounting. Despite no direct position related to my degree, I was able to apply my background in accounting with my administrative work by doing light bookkeeping, inventory management, payroll, expense tracking, and monthly reconciliation, using Excel, Quickbooks, and Zoho.
In the Education sector, my customer care and administrative support expertise were focused on working with parents and students. I am active in online engagements with my customers on Instagram, Facebook, and e-commerce sites while running my online businesses.
I was hired for a Project Coordinator position for one year and was successful in project completion together with my team of Engineers for telecom projects with Huawei.
