I've been in the customer service industry for the past few years. I've been assigned to different departments and had handled different accounts. Generally, I answer people's queries regarding the products and most of the time did some upselling. On my previous company, in just a few months I was promoted for the supervisory department wherein we handled escalated calls. Our job was not that easy. We gave them a 1 call resolution and we always did our best to convince the customers to continue with the service/products and satisfy their needs without compromising the company. Few months after, I was then promoted to the Tier 3 department where we handled corporate calls. Basically, my job as a customer service representative is to give people's satisfaction which could also help boost the company's reputation and gain more sales.
