I've been with BPO industry for 6 years now. I've started as a Technical Support Representative (TSR) for a device that you need to plug in to your computer to help the customer make unlimited calls anywhere in the world. Since I took up Information Technology, I really like my work as a TSR however, due to accessibility I decided to look for another company where I know I can still share my skills and knowledge and also, will be at least nearer to my place. I got a job as a Sales Representative. We need to call people in the U.S to convince them to choose our product that will help them have land line and internet service that's gonna be a lot cheaper with what they are currently using and that they can still have the same trusted quality.
The company closed. So, I looked for another job. I was hired as a Sales/Customer Service Representative for a TV and online shopping in the U.K. I stayed there for almost 3 years. I was part of outbound team for 8 months, where we need to call the customer and simply process the order/s they made online. Also, we offer them additional items which we think will also be helpful to them. After that, I've been part of Inbound team for 3 months. We help the customers with there concerns like, we track the package if they are not able to receive it on time. We also process replacement/refund if the customer received damaged/defective items. After being part of Inbound team, I worked as a Customer Service Admin (CSA) and Revenue Protection (RP)/Fraud agent. I can say that this is a very challenging role but I was able to manage it. We need to monitor fraudsters and also be keen in monitoring those customers with unusual buying patterns. If we found out that a certain account is fraudulent, we need to prove it directly to our client so that they personally deactivate or delete the account. I love what I'm doing but the account was closed because the company that we're working already file bankruptcy. I looked for another job and its already my present job. I am a Customer Service Representative tier 2 for the biggest online shopping in the U.S today. It's also online shopping so I can say that I somewhat do what I used to do in my previous job like, process refund/replacement for missing/lost/damaged/defective items. Also, answer all customer queries about the item they saw on our website. But this time since its the biggest online shopping in the U.S it covers wider range so you need to have more product knowledge so customer will call any will ask anything and everything about the company or the items that we are selling.
With all the job experiences that I had, I can say that my knowledge and skills will really be helpful for me to look for a part-time home based job on this site.
