Profile Description

A graduate of Bachelors of Science in Nursing, passed the November 2009 National Licensure Examination for Nurses with a general average of 76.80%. Undergone intensive training for both prehospital and intrahospital emergency care such as Basic Life Support with Automated External Defibrillator, Standard First Aid, Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (The EMT’s job function is to transport sick and injured persons by ambulance in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort and to administer Basic Life Support level pre-hospital care and treatment within the limits defined by law.)
a) Determines the nature and extent of illness and injury and establishes priority for required pre-hospital emergency care
b) Administers proper pre-hospital treatment to the patient at the scene and enroute to the hospital
c) Provides appropriate airway management to patients
d) Provides cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to patients
e) Provides appropriate treatment for control of hemorrhage and shock
f) Provides appropriate management for immobilization of suspected fractures and dislocations
g) Provides appropriate dressings and bandages for wound care
h) Provides appropriate assistance in immediate childbirth delivery, cares for newborn infants
i) Provides immediate initial treatment to poison and burn patients
j) Provides appropriate oxygen therapy to patients
k) Every crew member is equally responsible for proper disposal and/or cleaning of contaminated material
l) Provides care that is observant and responsive to patient needs as they arise,
Advanced Cardiovascular life Support and Intravenous therapy training and undergone training as well as an Emergency Room Nurse.
