Profile Description

Right after graduation in 1996, I worked as an Accounting Clerk at Shemberg Mktg. in Cebu City. While working in that company I applied for another job that could gave me not just with a higher rate but with benefits that an ordinary employee could enjoy. And I was hired two weeks after at Shanri-La's Mactan Island Resort and Spa with the same position. But a year after I transferred to the Front Office and worked as a Guest Service Officer. After
three years I resigned and I put up my own business, the D'Octagon Educational Supply which catered students, teachers and other people who needed services such as photocopying, laminating, encoding and printing as well as we sell supplies for schools and offices. Then, when I got married three years after it had opened I had to close it down because I transferred residence to General Santos City. There I applied and got accepted as a Human Resource Officer (HRO) at SOCSARGEN County Hospital, one of the tertiary hospitals in General Santos City. As an HRO, I was responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counseling. There, I was able to develop my leadership ability and good public relations, and my skills in team building, research and program development, interviewing applicants, time management and effective verbal and listening communication skills. I was able to practice my effective written communication skills as well, including the ability to prepare reports, proposals, policies and procedures at a highly proficient level. And now, I stayed at home to take care of my three kids.
