I have been an Administrative Assistant for 10 years. I provided administrative support to an IT project team for two years and performed clerical tasks, handled phone calls, basic research and project documentation. After which I assisted our Department Head and then later our President and CEO while concurrently serving as Secretariat to the company’s Bids and Awards Committee (BAC). My tasks as BAC Secretariat includes preparing all the documents needed for the bidding of various project requirements, forward communications to the bidders, and documenting the bidding procedures. Currently, I am in the procurement team and in charge of canvassing potential suppliers for various requirements. As part of my administrative support work, I assist our Finance Manager in bookkeeping from time to time.
