Started as a working student in school. Worked as a library clerk for a year, then part-time as an enrollment assistant/Student services assistant/clerk.
A month before graduating as an Electrical Engineer, I got hired as an RDU (Receiving-Dispatching Unit) Clerk at SM Supermarket.
An RDU clerk is the one whose in charge of all the incoming deliveries and outgoing stocks, whether for return to the vendor (damaged/ bad order) or branch stock transfers.
After serving as an RDU clerk for 2 years almost, I resigned to be able to seek for a new job where I can finally practice my Electrical Engineering education. Luckily I got hired as a Design Engineer at ATM Engineering, a very small firm in Quezon City. We basically make electrical design for small residential houses, apartment type buildings, and other small commercial establishments (National Bookstore, Cash & Carry Supermarkets, Etc.).
After 6 months, my contract ended, but I eventually got a new job as an Electrical Design engineer in MIESCOR (Meralco Industrial Engineering Services Corp.). Miescor is a subsidiary of MERALCO. What we design that time is for distribution services for MERALCO customers. The job was but they don't regularize employees there so I've searched for a more stable company and found Phelps Dodge Philippines. I have been working here since 2008 as a Technical Engineer. We are a manufacturing company whose maion product is but not limited to Electrical cables and wires. My job here is to design cables, prepare costing/pricing, do technical presentations/product presentations, provide sales support (Aftersales), inspections, scanning, supervisory, etc. The job is very technical and very complicated, but it exposes me to different type of situations and I have grown professionally, in every aspect, not only in the technical aspect but most importantlly in acquiring/developing necessary skills needed in life.
Ive worked with MS Office all my life. I've prepared a lot of technical reports as an enginnering student and as an electrical design engineer. Ive used Autocad and still is. I can do research and virtual assistant jobs very swiftly as ive been exposed to the library system. My past experiences in life taught me how to be strong and persevere to achieve what I want and hopefully I can show this and be of service to you.
